Why use an ESD Chair?
Using an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) chair is important where electrostatic discharge can damage sensitive electronic components or disrupt operations. Sensitive electronic components can be easily damaged by static electricity. ESD chairs help to prevent static buildup, ensuring that any discharge is safely dissipated. By preventing damage to electronic components, ESD chairs help reduce equipment failures and downtime, leading to more efficient operations.

How to choose an ESD Chair height?
We recommend using a basic formula to determine the correct seat height: subtract 12 inches from the height of your work surface from the floor. We then suggest using this number as the midpoint of the chair's seat height adjustment range. Here are some additional tips for choosing a chair height:

Feet: Your feet should be able to rest firmly on the floor or a footrest. If your feet don't reach the floor when your arms are in the correct position, you can use an ESD Footrest .

Knees: The back of your knees should be able to extend past the edge of the seat. Ideally, the front edge of the seat should be at the same level as the back of your knee's point of flexion.

Arms: Your forearms should be roughly parallel to the floor. You should also be able to place your arms at a 90-degree angle on your desk or work surface

Types of ESD Chairs
