Humidity indicator cards feature a heavy-weight paper stock with printed spots impregnated with a chemical that changes color when a certain level of humidity is reached. Each spot on the card is treated with a chemical solution that reacts to specific humidity levels. As the interior moisture level rises, the darker blue dots (dry) will move from blue to pink (humid) identifying various ranges of humidity. Cards usually have multiple spots that change at different RH levels providing a range of humidity conditions.

Humidity Indicator Cards are sold in cans and should be inserted and sealed within a moisture barrier bag along with desiccant packs. Humidity Indicator Cards do not have a set life span. Cards should be stored in their original container when possible and before using, verify that the indicator spots have not changed color. Keep in a dry cool area at a consistent temperature of 75°F (24°C) and protected from exposure to direct sunlight.
