Description
Desk-height Embark Series seating is the right chair for a wide variety of today’s technical applications. Providing ergonomic support to enhance user comfort, this model includes a small seat and breathable mesh backrest, easy-to-use adjustments and a steel base.
The heavy-duty breathable mesh back of the Embark Series offers a flexible, comfortable and airy seating solution that’s welcome in hot industrial environments, dispatch centers, factories, office settings, plants, refineries, mills and more. It’s designed for use at desktop and bench heights of 30” to 34”.
This Embark model features a concave upholstered seat with internal seat board bumperguard measuring 18.5" wide x 16.5" deep x 3" thick and a woven black mesh backrest with recycled nylon frame measuring 16.375" wide x 16" high. Control allows function of the seat height activation and backrest adjustments by means of easily engaged levers which can be activated from the seated position. Seat tilt is fixed at 3.5° rearward while the backrest adjusts 8° forward and 13° rearward. It includes a small, five-legged base with caster-to-caster diameter of 23.0" and maximum width of 22.8". Welded 1" x 14-gauge steel tubular legs withstand test loads of 2X BIFMA strength requirements. Features standard 50 mm, steel-reinforced, tapered hub and a 21" affixed steel tubular footring welded to top of legs at 8" above floor height. A reinforced nylon insert at the end of each leg accepts a caster or glide stem. The welds at the hub are concealed by a two-piece polypropylene cover. Dual soft wheels, non-marring polyurethane casters that resist movement when the chair is unoccupied.
Upholstered in Grade 2 black vinyl. Metal parts are black powder coat.
